My name is Abby, and I am a knitwear designer based in central North Carolina. My knitting patterns are designed to teach you something new, be simple and beautiful, and empower you to feel cozy and brave when you wear them. I believe that there is a perfect pattern for every person, whether you’re looking for a giant, cozy wrap for a northern winter, a special gift for a friend in need, or something that will act as a traveling companion with you anywhere you go.

I fell in love with working with wool when I moved to NC in 2013. I was captivated by the rich history of textiles in our area and in the US as a whole, the impact that this beautiful craft can have on our earth, and with the amazing animals who made it all happen. I fell deeper in love and started spinning my own yarn, which resulted in my handspun yarn business, Goodstitch Fibers, in 2015.

Since then, I have focused more on my own impact creating a sustainable and hand-crafted world through knitting, sewing, cooking, and sharing all of these things in community with others. I’m passionate about making garments and working with fibers that inspire.
